We sell only responsibly harvested premium grade Brazilian Hardwood (which comes from the heart of the tree) from such exotic species of trees like Ipe, Sucupira, Tigerwood, Garapa, Cumaru, Angelim Pedra, Massaranduba, Greenheart, Batu (Red Balau) plus several other species. We also carry fasteners and accessories to care for these woods plus Cedar, Cypress and much, much more. With over 35 years of experience with exotic hardwood decking and siding, we want to help our homeowners and contractors find the perfect wood for their new deck or project. Lumber is graded using the American Lumber Standards, which are based on the structural integrity of a board. These grades take into account the size and location of defects, as well as the slope of grain, in order to predict the load-bearing capacity of the board. These factors are used to determine the percentage of clear wood in the board that, in turn, determines the grade.
The most common grades and their clear-wood requirements are as follows:
"Select" = at least 80% clear wood (we call our "Select" - Premium Grade). Our Premium Grade averages 90%.

Because we ship from the warehouse directly to you, we are able to offer you great prices and save you money on both your wood and shipping. Our warehouses have been in the hardwood industry for years.

All of our warehouses use responsible mills that meet both U.S. and Brazilian requirements such as The Lacey Act and Ibama, Brazil's Environmental Protection Agency. We are concerned about the environment just as our customers are and we like to share information on how lumber is forested while being environmentally conscientious.

Lengths of boards may be substituted if the length requested is out of stock (ex: 2-8' could be 1-16', 8' could be 9' etc) but you will always have at least the amount of wood ordered or extra.

Our tropical hardwood decking products are carefully manufactured (milled to decking, siding, etc.) and inspected to ensure quality. However, these products are all natural wood products and are subject to variations in color, weight, density, grain and in some cases even performance (if they were installed correctly). Wood decking can be subject to small dimensional changes as the moisture content in the wood fluctuates with your climate and the humidity in the air. Swelling, shrinkage, surface checking, and other movement of individual pieces are normal occurrences in wood decking.
You must check your local building codes when building an exterior deck. Most counties require building permits and they can vary from county to county. We do not do any installation so county codes and permits are your or your contractors responsibility.
