Cumaru is a beautiful Brazilian kiln dried hardwood and is perfect for your new deck if you are planning to use either face screws or a plug system.

Cumaru decking materials is almost 3 times harder than Oak with an approximate 80 year life expectancy and is naturally resistant to insects, mold and mildew. Cumaru is known as Brazilian Teak. This Cumaru is a beautiful mixed Cumaru. The colors consist of Champagne Cumaru (yellowish brown), medium honey brown and Rosa (reddish color). See picture above, they blend beautifully together.

Once your deck is installed, you do not have to do anything to the Cumaru deck boards for them to last for years but they will turn to a silvery-gray color if you do not apply a UV Finisher made for Hardwoods.

Tips: Always use carbide tip tools (drill bits and saw blades). Always pre-drill your Cumaru hardwood decking before installing any fasteners into your boards.

Note: We can groove Cumaru for the hidden fasteners and do it for people all of the time BUT we do want you to be aware, if you do . Cumaru by nature can like to twist and turn and may try to pop the clips. We are not responsible if you do order Grooved Cumaru and it does twist and pop any clips.
